The most famous building associated with the city is Warwick Castle, which has been on its current site since 1068, making it almost a thousand years old (Warwick itself is older and can be traced back to at least 914 AD). The castle is a major tourist attraction in the UK and visitors from all over the globe to visit this magnificent building. Those who are brave enough can fire a trebuchet ? a kind of catapult that can send 30 pound stone balls over impressive distances. If your children get tired of the buildings, there are also amusement rides for them. Older visitors can take advantage of the regular paranormal events that are held at the castle ? who knows, you may even encounter a ghost on your visit.

You could also browse around the three antique centres that are featured in Warwick, each of which has a large number of stalls to keep avid antique collectors happy for hours.
