There is so much written about men needing to change their women every so often that it seems almost justified that they go out of their homes and cheat. Most cultures of the world do not consider men cheating on their wives to be a big issue at all. In most cases, the common consensus is, "How to avoid a cheating man? Why, because they are simply made that way. It's in their DNA." But, think again. The person who may have said this for the first time was in all probability a man himself. So, should women take this as the gospel truth and accept it as a way of life? Why it's difficult for men to stop cheating after all? Is it really in their DNA?



Men are born with a different sense of instinct that women are. Male hormones are much more aggressive than female hormones are. We must know that female hormones have their ebbs and surges in life much more frequently than male hormones do. Male hormones remain almost static in the male bodies for the major part of their lives. There are definite hormonal reasons that make men feel much more libidinous than women. Many women ask the real reasons why men cheat more than them. In a way, their hormones predispose them to do so.

Men also have a need for variety. This is seen in everything that men do, be it their cell phone or their business. They keep changing. Most men, if given the chance, would not mind having sex with another woman, provided it was guilt-free and totally discreet. But women are not likely to do that. Women like stability in things. That is why it is the man who would not think twice about cheating in a marriage, while a woman would.

There are several things that set men apart from women when it comes to cheating. Men need constant ego boosts. This is a well-known trait of the male of any animal species and we see that in almost everything that they do. When they make out with someone else, they are actually pampering their egos. They are reassuring themselves that they are still desirable. If you think about it, women will never have sex with another man just to feed their ego. However, men can do that.

Finally, when we discuss why men are unfaithful more than women, we must keep one thing in mind, the definitions of cheating for men and women are completely different. While men may have sex and still continue loving his partner, a woman will cheat only when love ceases. For men, having sex is just a biological need; they don't tie emotions much with the need for sex. Hence, when men are cheating, they don't really feel that they are cheating. They are simply catering to a biological need. But when you see this from a woman's point of view, the whole issue becomes completely different.
