So when selecting amongst the many opportunities, what exactly would comprise an ideal program?
I believe that there are five required features to any first class network marketing program.
The system should have a means of overcoming the number one complaint of most MLM members; which is, how to create your downline, and sell products to buyers, without having to bother your friends, family, neighbors and associates. The majority of people strongly abhor the prospect of having to sell to their ‘warm market' as the primary source of income. So the elite network marketing program should include a lead-generation strategy by which the independent business owner (“IBO”) can be provided with a respectable quantity of leads from third parties they have never met.
A top multi-level marketing program should not require the IBO to buy, stock and ship any products. The perfect system would simply let the IBO take the orders, without having to be involved in establishing a credit card processing service; without needing to constantly order from the MLM company sufficient products to meet anticipated orders from customers; and without having to participate in the shipping process. The MLM company itself would handle the product inventory and ship the products directly to the customers of the IBO. Such a system has the added benefits of not requiring the IBO to expend cash flow in the purchase of products, as well as freeing up the IBO's time so he or she can instead focus on signing up new customers and getting existing customers to reorder products.
Another important feature of an elite MLM organization is the ongoing release of new products. This not only helps to increase the commitment of the IBO for the business, but increases the market for the IBOs. Each new product means new sales.
If possible, the IBO should try to join the network market or MLM opportunity in its beginning phase. By joining on or near the 'ground floor' of the MLM business, the IBO's ability to build a large downline is multiplied many times over. The MLM industry is renowned for people who joined early and who, because of that, built a huge network below them, thus producing a significant residual income. And when the MLM company, although new to network marketing, has been operating in other manners profitably for a few years, the prospects are even brighter.
Finally, the downline matrix should incorporate what is known as ‘spill'. This aspect of the MLM matrix means that the IBO is the recipient of new downline members below him due to the recruitment activities of the IBOs above him. This increases each IBO's passive income, which then acts to encourage him or her to double their efforts, rather than abandoning their efforts, as frequently occurs in typical MLM programs.
So if you locate an MLM that offers you leads from third parties, takes care of the product inventory and shipping for you, releases new products regularly, is operated by a profitable company whose network marketing system is relatively new, and whose downline system incorporates spill, you should seriously research its program.
