Home made ice cream that would have you running back for more!
Ice Cream Chefs specialises in western desserts such as customized ice cream flavours!
Have YOU TRIED ice cream chef??? This makes me happy!
The ice cream was so-so. And I would even rank it the lowest among all the ice cream specialty shops. The durian ice cream cannot hold a candle to Blic\'s. The selection of toppings and ice cream was too few. There were only 7 flavors of ice cream. Although the ice cream was so-so, The service was good and friendly, playful. The decor is of a cheesy plastic pink, but no one comes here for the decor. A very tiny place. I don\'t really fancy the ice cream but I don\'t mind the place.
Visited Ice Cream Chefs when they got a 1 for 1 promotion. I managed to try one of their inovative flavour - Milo Peng. It has a nice milo flavour and rather milky. It tasted like the Milo Peng ordered from the coffee shop but served freezed. This is definitely an interesting flavour and my very first time trying it. I am interested to come back to try out their other flavours.
With the open-concept of the store and it\'s \'ulu-ulu\' (deserted) location, it\'s hard to give an answer on whether I\'d visit the store again. I love the open honesty of how they\'d display their skills & enthusiasm (wait, which ice-cream store doesn\'t now?!) in making your ice-cream.Fairly disappointing when you add a waffle to your ice-cream. It seems like a generous portion eh? But due to the fact that the store was rather small and taken up by secondary school students nearby the store in Marine Parade, my friend and I had to sit outside the store which was stacked with ice-cream plates and cups all over. The plates kept flying around and we always had to stack them up again! (The dustbin was full). I guess they were short of staff and thus us customers have to voluntarily become part of their staff.Topped with chocolate and whipped cream on our ice-cream (cookies n\' cream, rum the raisin\'), the ice-cream melts fairly quickly so you have to eat \'em up real fast. That leaves us hardly any time to chat.
Pamper yourself with ice cream having up to 24 flavors to choose from, mixed with your favorite sweet bites!
This cafe is very beautiful and i really like the environment. Their walls are very nice and full with the photos of customer.I also take one and put on there.Really nice. There are quite lots of choices for the icecream. Then the choices of topping is also nice and suprise. I found the durian flavour is nice, It us very smooth and the durian smell is not very strong. It is just right..I like it.The coffee one is also nice.It is really nice.I like it so much.I more prefer this more than Bens & Jerry because this is not too much of cream taste. I am glad that I ordered it, because it is really great. The sweetness is also just right. This is really a nice place to eat a nice icecream with nice friends.
Ever fancy something extra in your ice cream Or perhaps something different from the normal cup or cone ice cream you get outside Ice Cream Chefs has the answer! Alright I know that sounds like a cheesy commercial tagline. But seriously, Ice Cream Chefs does offer something that deviates from the norm - an avenue to "customise" your ice cream with toppings such as oreo cookies, chocolate chips and candies with promises to introduce more stuff in the near future. There is also an option to mix and match ice cream flavours to suit your preferences. Sitting pretty alongside East Coast Road, just further down from Hong Kong Cafe, Ice Cream Chefs is rather easy to miss unless you maintain a look out for its purple sign board. Add in the fact that the location shares the same address as Ocean Park Condominium and you get a really confusing road trip. Tip: You have to make a right into the private carpark just after you make a right turn from East Coast Road into the road leading up to Ocean Park Condominium. There you press the red button followed by the code 0106 and politely request for the person on the other line to open the barrier for you. Do note that parking spaces are limited though. The folks at Ice Cream Chefs take pride in hand making their ice cream. According to what I understand from the very short conversation I had with one of the guys, the process of making the ice cream involves leaving flavoured milk to harden on a flat pan like surface and flipping it over when one side hardens (something to that effect. Please dont berate me if I get it wrong). The DIY ice cream process Step 1: Scrape the ice off the hard top and plonk down a set amount of the ice cream of your choice. Step 2: Flatten the ice cream with the provided set of huge metal spoon lookalikes (whatever those are called) Step 3: Place desired toppings on the flattened ice cream and drizzle the complimentary chocolate syrup over it. Step4: Use the spoons to forcefully crush the toppings to blend in with the ice cream and with a little mixing, your customised ice cream is ready to be served! Disclaimer: The steps are based on what my experiences first hand and it may or may not represent the actual set of steps. A regular scoop of ice cream goes for about $4+ if I remember correctly and a medium scoop goes for $5+ ( Please pardon my poor memory, but its all around that price range). For the ice cream lovers, there\'s a bigger tub option as well. Novelties aside, I personally liked my creation quite a bit (no I\'m not narcissistic) and the quality of ice cream was comparable to that of Ben & Jerry\'s, albeit a little less robust. Would like to see more basic flavours though. Maybe banana Mangosteen
I have never been here before and while looking through their array of flavours, I was really quite spolit for choice since there are so many that I wanted to try. In the end, I found myself settling for the durian flavour, since I saw someone ordering it and the durian smell was beckoning me. And I am glad I ordered it, because it is really nice. I love how it isn\'t too sweet and the durian taste is still retained in its glory. If only they will open an outlet nearer to where I was staying!
This ice creamery has many delightful favors which is quite unique to this place. On this occasion i order 2 different favors of ice cream. I ordered the Chocolate Hershey ice cream which has a strong chocolate taste like the hershey chocolate which i love. I also order the Milo Peng ice cream which you can imagine has a very nice milo taste.
While looking at the counter for the various favors, one particular favor caught my eye, sea salt caramel. I love anything with caramel in it and i ask for a sample of the ice cream. I would say that normal caramel taste might be sweet but the added salt give it a nice sweet and salty contrast. As the sample taste good, i brought a whole pint home.
A wonderful indulgence after a good meal. The ice cream used was of a pretty good quality. It is extremely easy to separate each taste from the next and durian taste is very very strong if you add it. It is also nicely smooth and taste as good as those served at other establishments like Anderson\'s or New Zealand ice cream. In other words, do try it!! Add in the fact that you can choose a large variety of toppings (oreos, fudge, marshmallows, M & Ms etc) and this is just a winner.
Happened to drive past this outlet and decided to pick up 2 pints of ice creams to have it at home later. I decided to go with my usual favorite - Strawberry and a pint of Chocolate Hershey for my partner. This was my second time trying out their ice cream and it still did not make me a fan. I still prefer my regular ice cream parlour at bukit timah somewhat. The Chocolate Hershey tasted just like the normal chocolate ice cream and the Strawberry one is missing the milky taste.
Had ice cream chef today after sooo long! Brought back good olf memories where my group of friends would also frequent ice cream chef as it is very near our school. Bought the honeydew flavour with kit kat topping. The kit kat is evenly mixed into the ice cream to provide the ice cream with a whole new taste! Great dessert!Spending: Approximately SGD 5
Have you heard of the Deal by Ice Cream Chefs on every Wednesday? The deal for this week is \'Buy 1 pint of ice cream and get other pint for free\'! After lunch at Sembawang Hill Food Centre, i dropped by this particular outlet and hoping to pamper myself with some choices of premium ice cream. This was my first visit thus i have no clue what to order. I selected the Strawberry and Chocolate Hershey and my partner picked Sea Salt Caramel and Milo Peng at $9.80 for a pint. The sweetness level for all 4 flavors are pretty well-balanced. The Chocolate Hershey tasted just like any other chocolate ice cream, the Milo Peng has a nice Milo taste and it would be a good choice for Milo lover. The strawberry would be nicer if it\'s a little more creamy. My favorite has to be the Sea Salt Caramel, it is an unique combination of sweetness and slight saltiness. I will definitely be back to try other flavors. The best is this particular outlet is only 20 mins walking distance away from my house. I can foresee myself to be a regular here. Recommended.Spending: Approximately SGD 9.80
This is the place for Premium Home Made Ice Cream On The Rocks. Was a little worried reading some of the other reviews but found on Saturday evening, that the service was excellent and so was the ice-cream.We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and they punched through the line very quickly. The concept of Ice Cream Chefs is similar to Cold Stone that u can mix any topping with the selection of your ice cream. But the ice cream selection were abit weird. Tried one of them which is Teh Ping, an ordinary ice cream with tea flavor. nothing impressive.
I love the ice cream at ice cream chefs. They are simply to die for. Their ice cream is very creamy. The flavor is strong but not too overpowering. I ordered the rose flavor with milo crunch. It taste a little like bandung, really yummy. You can’t really find bandung flavoured ice cream outside. The milo crunch goes really well with the ice cream, the smooth ice cream topped with the hard and crunchy milo crunch. Indeed heavenly!
Ice cream chef is like one of my favourite hangout places with friends since my school is just opposite. Simply love their ice cream. You can choose your favourite toppings to be chopped and mixed together with your ice cream. Their wide range of toppings and flavours never fail to bring surprises to you each time you choose a different combination. Their walls also beautifully decorated with polaroids of customers who went there, it really adds a sense of warmth to your heart each time you see the beautiful and happy faces of the customers. Absolutely love this place. Go ice cream chef! Spending: Approximately SGD 5
A perfect hang out place during the weekends! This is their second outlet which is much spacious and offer more flavours.Ice cream chefs has been my favourite ice cream ever since I was introduced to it! I like the unique flavours especially Milk Tea and Italian White which are very rich in taste! Every time you walk in, you wouldn\'t expect to be greeted with the same old flavours you last went in. Their creativity is always there - their flavours are ever changing. Every visit is always a pleasant surprise!Their ice cream is so good that I always have to have it in pint because it is never enough to have it in a cup! A pint of ice cream is $9.80.Spending: Approximately SGD 10
