On the other side of the world   there's a little boy or a girl   who's never heard about A Gift   or of Christmas or even what that is      That must have been how it seemed   back before that old manger scene   back before the world even knew   about Jesus and what he would do      It must have been so dark and cold   there must have been so little hope   Sometimes I wonder where I'd be   If no one had sent A Gift to me      But wrapped in mercy, grace and love   A Gift was sent from up above   Unconditional and free   That Little Gift changed everything      On the other side of the world   there's a little boy or a girl   Who all because of A Gift   Finally knows what Christmas is
