Take the last train to nowhere  by the time that you get back,  i'll be here  somewhere in this crowd of straight-faced lies  and lost among the miles of fast-paced lives  and honest dreams  of going backwards  we're going backwards  against the grain  forget my name  cause i will be gone  to better days  when we were young    when december rain would fall  and autumn leaves as well  and the world would stop for anyone  and not just for a while  and the walls that tore us down  were never quite so high  and we understood the world  this unforgiving life    it's got to get better cause  this must be the most complicated waste of time  so i turn to you  to rip the pages from the book  as the air-waves sing
