when we were 14   i walked you home in the snow   and the wind was so violent outside,   that we really should have gotten a drive   but i thought it'd be nice.   that because you only lived at the top of the hill   we could look out over all the other snow covered hills.      now i told you every day how much i loved you.   and you had to tell me back that you never felt that way.   but that night, as i turned away from your doorstep,    you grabbed my hand, and placed, a little note in it.      now i keep that note, in a box beside my bed.   but i don't know why i do... because i know every word it says.   i guess i just keep it, because it smells like you sometimes..   and i need that...   to get me through most nights      "dear you...   i should have written this years ago.   i think i've always loved you.   maybe it's your smile... or.. i don't know..   but i want you, and i need you   so if you think you feel the same.. circle yes or no.   and give it back, the next time you walk me home in the snow."      i would have loved to see your face    when you read what i had wrote   you must have been so sad,   when you saw that i had circled 'no'   then i drew a little arrow so your eyes would know where to go   and i wrote a note back to you...      "i don't think that i feel the same, i know,   and i've loved you since we met 5 years ago.   and i think i need you more,    becuase you're haunting all my dreams"
