a subtle movement.   from oddity to commoditiy.    we are waving to ourselves from the audience.. there's no need to fight a following sea.   ride it out.   ride it out of here.   but amongst the tide,    we are insignificant,    drowned by our discontent.    a life still stagnant.   wade out    in the swell and the breaking of our lives.   played out    in the swell and the breaking of our wills.    wait out the storm, or head out forewarned. so loved, so hated; but respected.   in the wake of booze and cigarette smoke,   our protagonist awoke to another night,    now he is too tired and too drunk to wake up.    we'll keep going    because the drinks never run out on us.
