7th Manna is an online cake shop that delivers all over the island. Set up by Shereleen and Paul, a devout Christian couple, 7th Manna prides itself on the quality and the whole-hearted effort with which it bakes its cakes. Even the name 7th Manna reflects the religious and other-worldly nature of baking, since it refers to the bread that the biblical God granted the hungry Israelites. (The word manna means “bread from heaven".) Adding to the idea of baking as part of natural human survival, 7th Manna does not use artificial ingredients – real cream, real chocolate and real liqueur. - Carrotcake ($70 for 10 inches)
7th Manna's Carrotcake has a simple name – it is a carrotcake, after all. Like its name, the carrotcake's presentation is simple. It is round and cream-coloured, without any frills or decoration. Slicing the cake reveals the brown carrotcake underneath the cream. The Carrotcake has been dubbed one of Singapore 's best, and certainly deserves such a title. Using fresh dairy cream, the cake's cream cheese topping is fresh and rich, adding a taste of sweetness to the rest of the carrotcake. The cake itself is moist and not too sweet. Baked with fresh walnuts, sultana raisins and crunchy carrot bits, the Carrotcake is substantial.

Made from fresh dairy cream, Choco Divine is enough to satiate any chocolate craving. Like the Carrotcake, Choco Divine's presentation is simple. Using 100% Belgian chocolate, this cake comprises three layers of chocolate sponge, infused with three layers of chocolate mousse. It is then covered with a layer of melted dark chocolate, adding a taste of rich bitter-sweetness to an otherwise extremely sweet cake. Choco Divine is tantalizing, with a moist and soft core that is smooth and rich. Because of the combination of different types of chocolates, its taste is not boring and can be savoured over and over again. Definitely a must-try.

For the size of the cakes, the prices are reasonable. Besides, 7th Manna truly has some of the best cakes you will find in Singapore. The Carrotcake, especially, is excellent. The best part is, you can get the cakes delivered right to your doorstep.
