How can I get my ex back? Why is that such an unreasonable question to ask? Depends on who you are asking I suppose. My friends and family would frequently roll their eyes at me whenever I asked that very question and believe me I asked more than once. My question was rarely answered. In fact, I was usually hit with a barrage of unwanted opinions about my ex. Then there was the constant psycho babble and recommendation to "just get over it and move on". I didn't want to move on. I knew without a doubt that I wanted my ex back and was willing to darn near anything to make it happen.
Fortunately I became acquainted with T.W. Jackson (aka T-Dub) and his book, "The Magic of Making Up". I was hesitant at first. Magic rarely gets and/or maintains my interest but I was desperate to hear something different on the subject. From the moment I read the first opening line I thought to myself, "what a breath of fresh air"! Finally I had something tangible to work with. He offered actual strategies to practice so I could quickly see some results. T-Dub doesn't talk you out of desperately wanting to get back together with your ex. He does talk you out of being desperate, however. Also, he doesn't make you feel bad for having such a strong desire to get back together with your ex. Instead he helps you discover the possibilities of not only getting your ex back but also keeping your significant other for the long haul.
T-Dub will be the first to warn you that his methods are unconventional but that is just the very thing that makes his dialogue so refreshing, especially when you have tried everything else. He will be the last person to suggest that you should back off after the break- up or start going out and having fun or even worse recommend that you "just get over it and move on".
Instead T-Dub tells you exactly what to say and do to get your ex back. I don't think anyone among my circle of friends or family suggested such a thing and that is probably because nobody really knows! He offers the fastest and shortest path to getting back together (please note that I didn't say easiest) that I have yet to discover in any other book addressing the issue of breaking up and attempting to getting back together.
I was so grateful to finally get my hands on something that was encouraging. I genuinely felt as though I had someone in my own corner cheering me on rather than bashing my ex and insisting that I put away in hopes of ever getting back together. I knew that I wanted to stop feeling depressed and hopeless. I knew that my ex and I had so much in our relationship that was worth saving that I didn't want to be talked out of making any attempts to salvage it. T-Dub is very supportive in making it possible for you to get back together with your ex and his strategies will do just that for you and your ex!
Can I Get My Ex Back
Many people find themselves asking "Is There Anything I Can Do to Get My Ex to Come Back to Me?" soon after a breakup. They begin to think and philosophize about everything they did and said that they could have done differently. Some even make plans for apology letters and other things that might help them score their relationship back.
This is almost always the wrong move for one main reason: You can never really tell what really caused the breakup. People become emotional and sometimes they do not even know what caused the break up. They may be unaware of what is causing them to feel like they do. In many circumstances it is actually harmful to use your energy trying to figure out what went wrong.
The first main strategy in answering the question, "How Can I Get My Ex Back?" is to stop thinking about the relationship for a while, putting your energy into something else. Go out, make friends, have fun, network, and forget about the opposite sex in general. Set some realistic goals about expanding your repertoire when it comes to meeting people and starting relationships.
Take a few months away from the problem and make changes in your life. Take some time away from your ex and it may work wonders.
Strategies like this give you time to make gradual changes in your life, and changes in how you perceive relationships. After a few months, you may have a much better idea of how you should proceed with your ex.
Do you still want to get back together with her or him? Or are you ready to move on? Act accordingly. If you still want to get back together with your ex, it might be time to figure out how they feel about you.
Now is your chance to be a little more direct when it comes to getting your ex back. You need to be strategic, however. Do not simply beg them to get back with you. You should avoid being emotional.
Instead, you should be playing things cool with your ex. If you have spent enough time apart, your ex is probably hurting as much as you are. Play hard to get a little (don't over do it) and show your ex that you are doing fine. This will inspire them to really rethink things.
If getting back together with your ex really is meant to be, this is the time it will become apparent. Do not try to be too analytical. Over analyzing may prevent you from acting the way you want to. Just take things slowly and be patient and let things work themselves out.
