Cougars tend to be divorcees, fit, and financially sound. They are irresistible to young men looking for a mature, confident woman to spend time with.

One thing that boy toys (sometimes called cubs) like about their cougars is the fact that they can carry a conversation. Many young men find it frustrating when talking to women their own age, especially because of their tendency to giggle, and express their insecurities.

There are many pluses to cougar dating in addition to the ones already mentioned. Dating a younger man can be exciting. This can be perfect for the young man, as well, especially if he wants to start a family some day. If there is one caution about cougar dating, it would have to be to guard your heart. When two people get along well, laugh a lot together, have an amazing sex life, and can communicate openly and honestly with each other, there is the possibility of falling in love. If it happens for you both, that's great. However if not, there will be the heartbreak that is typical of any relationship where one person has more invested emotionally than the other.
