Well, I'll let you in on a little secret: to get more done, you have to distract yourself sometimes. Yeah, you have to relax and take your mind off work.
When you do, you'll find you have more energy and momentum to move forward fast.
And while there are many ways to distract yourself, one way to do so is by watching a movie. You see, when you watch a movie, you get caught up with the story line and forget about yourself for a moment. You distract yourself from reality.
As you can probably guess, this isn't good to do ALL the time. However, it IS good to do some of the time.
There are 4 dimensions you play in every day. The Dimension of: Distraction, Delusion, Demand, and Divine Action. To be successful, you have to monitor which dimension you're spending your time in and how much time you're spending in each dimension.
To give you an understanding, here are the short definitions of these dimensions:
The Dimension of Distraction: doing things that are NOT important or urgent.
The Dimension of Delusion: doing things that are NOT important but urgent.
The Dimension of Demand: doing things that are important AND urgent.
The Dimension of Divine-Action: doing things that are important and NOT urgent.
As you can probably guess, you want to spend the majority of your time in the Dimension of Divine-Action. However, you can't always spend your time there, so you have to learn how to spend your time in the other dimensions...on purpose.
The key here is to spend time in the other dimensions ON PURPOSE. If you play in the Dimension of Distraction by accident, you'll find yourself there a lot and you'll become very unproductive.
However, if you go there ON PURPOSE, you can stay as long as you like and leave when you're ready to get back to the things that matter most to you.
Watching a movie hardly falls under the category of important. But, used the right way - to distract you so you can renew your thoughts and well-being - can be very powerful.
Remember, the more energy you have and the more energy you can renew, the more momentum you'll have to get things done fast and effectively!
So, go watch a movie...rest and relax...and then get back to work with more energy and momentum.
