Instead of disappointing your children, why not say, "yes" after all? You will be surprised by the amount of energy you will have after that 30-minute activity.



Did you know you can improve your mental state, exercising at reasonable rate, even if it is only for 30 minutes? Studies have proven exercise helps your appetite and improves problem solving abilities. You will also rest better at night if you exercise at least 30 minutes each day.

In what ways does exercising on a regular basis help you? Most people who exercise have more discipline and have a better self-esteem. Exercise raises your spirits and can help you feel better when you are depressed. When you are first starting out, it may be best to start out at 15 minutes a couple of days a week. Over a period of time, you can up your workout length when your body has adapted.

DON'T you ever force your body! If you get hurt, then stop. You can take a break from exercising for a few days and then you can start again but you need to start from day 1.

Try these medium level exercises you can perform:

1. Do the Walking. Make use of your surroundings. You can walk your dog, with your partner or child. Encourage your family to do the walking exercise daily and you will find yourself burning calories while enjoying the surroundings and getting enough sunlight that is also good for your body.

2. Discover the wonders of Yoga. Yoga is one effective exercise that energizes not only your body but also your soul. You may want to learn even the basic yoga positions that are not too complicated but proven effective. A five-minute yoga exercise can perk you up and recharge your body with the energy you lost for the whole day. You relax and at the same time you stretch!

3. Play sports. Try tennis, basketball, whatever sport you like. It goes without saying that participating in sports is a great way to stay in great shape. You don't have to play competitively or even play at a hard level. Just throwing a baseball with a buddy is stil viewed as a sport.

4. Sign-up for a work fitness group. There aren't any fitness groups at work? Well, start one then! Ask your supervisor and begin with your coworkers. It is not only a chance to burn calories, but you can also have fun together. Try it for 30 minutes a few times a week.

5. Combine chores and exercising. Washing the tub, raking, carrying laundry and washing and drying your vehicle are decent exercises you can do while home. Try to use the chores as way to increase your heart rate and break a sweat. Rather than use a leaf blower, try raking those leaves yourself and burn off some fat.

You will shock yourself at how many calories you can get rid of by exercising moderately every day. Performing some sort of exercise daily can lead to ridding 200 to 1,000 excess calories each day!
