Blogging is a great way to publish content online. Because a blog is just another web site, you can use it to make money too. The problem is, for people who are just starting out, this can be confusing. That doesn't have to be the case if you follow the steps in this article.
1. Discover your niche
A niche is a group of people who share the same interest. You are more likely to make money online by focusing your effort in a niche than trying to target everyone. When you try to satisfy everybody at the same time, your message is too broad to be useful.
2. Create a plan
Planning is important for any kind of business. If you are to build a business, you have to create a plan. Note that this doesn't have to be hundreds of pages. You don't have to show it to a venture capitalist so don't worry about it. Just a simple one page plan can be enough to help you move on the right track.
3. Start producing content consistently
Consistency is the key when it comes to build a successful blog. Readers come to your blog because they want to read what you have to offer. The content should be interesting enough to make them want to come back. When they subscribe to your content feed, they expect you to update the blog regularly.
4. Interact, communicate and promote
Quality content is not enough though. There are already millions of blogs out there. Unless you get the message out about your blog, people won't know about it. With solid content, people will start subscribing and telling others about it though. But it is important to remember that it doesn't happen without promotion first.
5. Find monetization options
Once you have built loyal audience, there is nothing can stop you from making money with your blog. Find different monetization options and make sure you don't sacrifice integrity just to make money, your reputation may be at stake because of it.

The number of things that you can do with you basement are limited by you imagination, building codes and of course you budget.
You can begin by sketching out all the different ideas for what you want to do. Then when you have all the different ideas out on paper, you can begin to narrow down your ideas. Sometimes the narrowing down of ideas is accomplished by two practical points, local building code, and your budget. Then there is the point of do you have the time and manpower available to do it.
Once you have the ideas all drawn out you should begin by cleaning out the basement and getting it ready to begin the work that you want to get done. Generally speaking, you will start with building any interior walls that you will need. Then you should work on the exterior walls to insulate them from the cold and moisture that can come in through the walls.
The next logical step will be to rough in any wiring, plumbing, and heating that will need to be done. Much of this will need to be done by licensed professionals and it will also need to be inspected. From there you can rough in you bathroom, sauna, hot tub or laundry room. From there you can put up the sheetrock and the ceiling. Once they have been painted you will be able to lay down the flooring that you want, such as carpet or tile.
