Here are three time management skills for you to consider and identify which you need to be implementing now to help you reach your goals much more quickly.
1 - Make Things Simpler. Even though it might seem you have a lot of things streamlined, you can usually simplify a lot of things so that you can manage your time better. For example, if you have a lot of clutter, get rid of anything you don't use, need or love; alternatively, perhaps you have too many tasks "cluttering" up your day and don't have time to get everything done, so that eliminating or rescheduling some of these things can remove some clutter and make your day simpler. If you do this, accomplishing what you need to in your daily life will be much more simple and straightforward; you'll also take less time to do this, which can save you a significant amount of time every day.
2 - Review and Reevaluate Weekly. Once you've established your time management techniques, you need to sit down every week at a scheduled time and determine how effective your time management techniques have been that week; by doing this, you can change what's not working for you so that you make it more effective. If you do this every week and make a plan to consistently reevaluate the time management techniques you've put in place, you can change what's not working and keep reevaluating them so that they continue to do well for you. Figure out what's working and what's not, so that you have an excellent foundation to build further time management skills and fine-tune the ones you have in the future.
3 - Love Your Routines. Develop and learn to love your routines, so that you'll always have a very good idea about what you need to accomplish and by when. Establishing a routine will help you stay on track and keep action and momentum going; therefore, if you feel like you're not getting enough done in a given day, or if you think your time management strategies could use some revamping, routines might just be the way to give you the boost you need. Create routines for different areas of life, such as what you have to do every morning at work, or as a weekly cleaning schedule. When you don't have to figure out what you need to do next because you've laid a schedule out already, you'll find that you save a lot of time.
Time Management Study Skills
Use this time management tip to be more time effective in how you use your time and increase your sales if you are a sales professional/business owner. When you confuse activity with results you work very hard and don't obtain rewards equivalent to your efforts. If you want immediate sales you know your greatest potential is in your current customer base. Anyone who bought from you once is much more likely to buy from you again and again and again. Among your customer base you have customers who are responsive in that they buy from you occasionally and customers that are highly responsive in that they buy nearly everything you show them.
If you'll focus on these people and give them a lot of your attention you can get the financial security you want. Sometimes you overlook ways to get these sales with less work. You can get more sales with less work when you use your brain before your legs.
Spending more time in front of the people who buy from you is an easy way to increase sales. To make that happen you need a plan for getting and keeping in front of those customers. Look at your current customer base and determine how often you want to be either talking with or touching each and every one of them. Give the most time and attention to your more valuable customers. Unless you have a plan for when, how, and why you're going to make those connections it won't happen because: you'll get busy and forget, you have to keep chasing them down, and no one wants to meet with you to waste their time.
When you know how often you want to make those connection the next step is to plan a single clear objective for each connection. Don't miss opportunities by making meaningless connections like automatically generated "thinking about you" cards. If you want to send a card make it valuable to your customer by having something of value in each card whether it be a way for them to get really good information, a coupon, something that recognizes them, a customer loyalty reward, etc.
Set the number of connections that you want to involve a one-on-one conversation. These are really your preset sales conversations. The advantage of already knowing when you want the next sales conversation to happen for you is you can increase your time management skills by setting that next appointment at the end of the current one.
Your customer's will be eager to have and hold that next appointment when you can communicate the value they'll be getting. This won't be a problem for you to do if you just start thinking about things from their perspective. When you're developing your plans think about what you can do to will add value during each appointment over the course of the whole year each and every year. As you're talking to your customer you can let them know that in 3 months you want to meet with them again to help them to get, have, or experience something they'll really want. You won't have to keep calling and leaving voice mail and email messages to set your next appointment because you'll already have it and they'll want to keep it because they're going to get something they want.
