The Hawksbill Beach Resort stands in 37 acres of tropical gardens alongside four separate beaches, on the west coast of Antigua, where it gets beautiful sunsets, and is an all inclusive hotel, popular with families and couples of all ages, many of whom rate this as one of the better Antigua Luxury Resorts and a great place to spend their Antigua vacation.

The Hawksbill Beach has just over one hundred rooms, divided between 26 Garden Bubgalows on Sea Grapes Beach, which can take two adults and one child and 28 Superior Seaview Rooms in the two storey main buildings on the same beach, and they can accommodate two adults and two children. Add to this 19 Superior Seaview Bungalows on Sea Grapes Beach, which are smaller and have a maximum of two adults.

There are a total of 34 Beach Club Rooms of which 12 are located between Sea Grapes Beach and Honeymoon Cove, with room for two adults only, and 22 adjacent to Royal Palm beach which are big enough for two adults and two children. Finally there is 1 suite in the Great House on the tip of the peninsula with three bedrooms, kitchenette, and this sleeps six adults and six children so is marvellous for a group of friends.

The restaurants and bars at the Hawksbill Beach Resort, serve to complement this special Antigua Caribbean Beach resort.

You can choose from the Tamarind Tree an informal open air restaurant with buffet and table service. The Sea Grapes Bar and Grill, and the Il Vigento Su Mare with a la carte pasta and fish specialities, which requires a reservation.

You will also find weekly beach barbecues and for drinks there is the Tamarind Bar which also has live entertainment.

What you will find is that the kitchen alternates between buffet nights and menu service for dinner. There is a buffet grill at lunchtime and breakfast is always a buffet, although eggs and pancakes are cooked to order.

The four beautiful beaches means you have a variety of activities available, although you need to be aware that it also hosts Antigua's only ?clothing optional? beach. The beaches at Hawksbill are exquisite, so if you are a beach person you will love it at this top Antigua resort. Each beach is a little different from the other, and only the beach with the bar, swimming pool, and lunchtime restaurant is even remotely busy and noisy. If however you need Televisions, radio, a swim up bar, then Hawksbill Beach Resort is probably not the Caribbean Beach resort for you.

A good summary of this Antigua Resort would be that you can have a beachfront room in a small resort, without people crammed together on the beach, a beautiful azure sea, and finally peace and quiet. Again you need to be aware that if what you require in an Antigua Luxury resort is luxury, a very active social whirl, then don't come here. You need to be relaxed, unfazed by the little problems that beset all Caribbean Beach Resorts, and able to just let it all wash wash over you, then Hawksbill Beach resort will be right for you

The staff at Hawksbill are excellent, everyone is extremely courteous, and many of them are really friendly warm local people. The speed of response when you need something like extra towels, or help with something in your room that doesn't seem to work is impressive.

There is no doubt that Hawksbill Beach Resort is enjoyed by the majority of its visitors, and whilst it isn't a top of the range luxury resort, it has many of the qualities you need for a top Antigua vacation.
