Many people like to view marketing as a choice between the older forms of marketing and the newer ones. Of course, eventually the newer forms of marketing join the older ones, which means you are always going to have a much larger selection of older forms of marketing than you will ever have of the new ones.

The problem comes from people trying to focus on only one or the other. Many people start to look at only the newer forms of marketing as viable ones. But the new marketing methods carry with them other pitfalls to be aware of. The less tested a marketing strategy is the greater the chance is that you will not generate the kind of business you were looking for. You are naturally going to be taking more of a risk, and some companies just are not going to be able to take that chance. They need each marketing campaign to be successful in order to help make the next one happen.

This does not mean you should completely avoid new forms of marketing. Instead find a good combination of both new and old styles of marketing. Use poster printing while also taking advantage of some internet advertising.
