Imagine being able to lose belly fat, so that you finally can have a flat stomach, with toned abs. Sound impossible? You've tried everything but nothing seems to work? Well, if you have been doing 150 crunches per day, and you still can't see any result, I can tell you why. You are doing it the wrong way. Sorry, but that is the truth.
Our bodies are not made so that you can target one area of your body, and hope for that to be enough. This means you need to look at your body as a whole. If you are only doing crunches, you will never be able to lose your belly fat.
Workouts
Ab exercises are great, but avoid getting into a rut. If you do millions of crunches only, your body will get used to it, and they will not be very effective. Make your exercising a bit more fun by trying something new. Some great exercises are Bicycle Crunches, V-Sit and Toe Raises. These will work your core, and will include more muscles in the exercise. This will help you burn more fat.
Don't be scared of using weights when working out. Don't worry; you will not end up like the Hulk. You see, muscle tissue will even burn fat when resting. So more muscles equals burning more fat. This will help you getting rid of your belly fat.
Another important tool when losing weight is to get your heart rate up. Aim for 30 minutes of cardio every day. It doesn't necessarily mean going to gym every day. Do something different, like going for a walk in the morning, always talking the stairs, go swimming, etc.
Remember to exercise all your muscles, your body needs balance. This means that if you are only working your abs, your back will be out of balance. Give all your body parts a wake up call, and you will feel much better.
Diet
If your diet contains a lot of junk food, sweets, sodas, beers, and sugar, you will never get rid of your pot belly. Take a little bit of time, and find out what it is that your body needs. Don't get fooled by a pill that will make you thin by tomorrow, there is NO QUICK FIX to a great body.
Make fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean meats a big part of your diet. And drink water instead of sodas. Never starve yourself, even if you are trying to lose weight.
Remember to spoil yourself. Not too often, but every now and then. It's very unlikely that you will be able to keep it up, if you constantly deny yourself anything that is nice.
You need to remember to stay patient. The midsection it the last area your body will actually lose weight. But stay determined. If you don't give up, you will soon see great results.
