Stop Having Panic Attacks
David Bostwick
Do you suffer from abrupt fear and anxiety that seems to come over your body suddenly? This may be a sign that you are having an anxiety or panic attack and you need to understand that you don't have to just live with these symptoms. By taking the time and effort to find the right treatment for you, you can stop panic attacks and start living your life.
Panic attacks normally last anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes and can make you extremely uncomfortable. This attack can be quite scary for you, but you have to realize that there are ways for you to overcome these feelings and symptoms. By learning more about panic attacks, you can better determine what treatment you need, so that you can begin living your life in a healthier way.
Some people are able to "ride out" their panic attacks, simply because they have learned that the symptoms will go away if they wait long enough. These people are more experienced with the attacks, but if they have just started occurring, you may feel as if you are having a nervous breakdown or heart attack and may call for emergency assistance. Either way, you need to realize that these attacks can be overcome with the right panic treatment.
The whole body response that occurs during a panic attack is what makes them so uncomfortable and fearful. A panic attack can cause a plethora of different symptoms, including becoming dizzy, sweating, stomach issues, shortness of breath, and more. Each of these symptoms are caused by stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system and the increased fear that comes when you have the symptoms only adds to the nervous system response causing the symptoms to keep occurring.
The sudden onset of the panic attack is what separates it from other conditions that it is often mistaken for, including a heart attack or nervous breakdown. The symptoms are very scary and this is what leads many people to call for help, especially the first time they have a panic attack.
By visiting the doctor, you can get the assistance that you need to stop panic attacks once and for all. Therapy is normally the first thing that is suggested, but if it does not relieve the symptoms, you can try some other treatments to help the panic attacks end.
One treatment that may work is paper bag breathing. This is thought to balance the carbon dioxide and oxygen levels in the body making the symptoms subside. Other treatments can include anxiety or depression medications as needed.
Your physician or healthcare provider will determine which panic treatment will work best for you and your symptoms. By allowing them to treat you and following their treatment recommendations, you can be well on your way to feeling healthier and living your life free of the symptoms of panic attacks. Don't live with panic attacks - find treatment, so that you can live your life.
