France is a very popular tourist destination, and is becoming more and more popular with backpackers. The opportunity to enjoy a cheap, easy holiday is even closer than many people think. There are a wide variety of activities to choose from, and if you don't want to do activities, there is the possibility of just going to enjoy the food and wine and sun. The weather is generally very good, and if the sun is out then it can be very warm and pleasant; a great way to spend it could be at the beach or sitting outside a restaurant eating your food and drinking your wine. One option that is particularly appealing to backpackers is to backpack around France, finding places to catch and cook your own fish. There are many places to go that allow the opportunity to fish, and fresh fish cooked on a barbeque is a great treat. This is a particularly good money saving option, as you don't have to pay expensive bills at restaurants as everything is being done by you.

Everybody likes to think that their holiday will go without incident. However, if things were to go wrong, and say, someone in your family died, or some other emergency, then you would have to fund your travel back yourself. If, however, you had travel insurance, then the insurer would most likely cover the cost of the return travel as part of the agreement. Otherwise, you would be paying a lot more money, and it is definitely worth paying less money now rather than paying more money over a longer period of time. Travel insurance can also cover you for lost possessions and many other things; it would be a bad choice not to buy it, as you may find out later on the you did want it. If you end up in a situation like the above, with a flight back to pay for, or lost possessions, then you could end up paying up to ?500 sometimes to get everything replaced. If there were an accident and you were taken to hospital without insurance, then the bill could be anything up to hundreds of thousands of pounds.
