Women cannot understand why it is such an issue for the average man to go shopping in a lingerie store. While I cannot answer for everyone else, it has been my observation that in many cases it is either they are overly self conscious of what people will think or maybe they are insecure. Personally, I get a kick out of going into lingerie stores although they aren't on my short list of favorite things to do.



It is kind of amazing even to me as a guy that men would have such a problem with it. I mean most men have had a fascination with lingerie from afar starting out as boys looking through lingerie pages of catalogues or even "nudie" magazines! As we grow older, we do more of the same and seem to be inclined to look at scantily clothed women. Much of our attention is directed to the sexy lingerie they may be wearing in various stages of undress.

Given that we are attracted to these images going all the way back to childhood it surprises me that some of us have such an aversion to being close to lingerie as in a lingerie shopping experience. I like seeing all the newest styles and in many cases the sales clerks aren't too shabby either!

So why do many of us freak out when it comes to going to a lingerie store? Well, for a lot of us it is just due to being overwhelmed and uninformed. We are ill equipped to make the correct purchase unless we have done the requisite panty raid of our beloved's lingerie drawer to ascertain her size and the styles she likes. As you well know these are crucial components in the lingerie buying decision. If you screw up either one of these you could end up sleeping on the couch or with the dog!

Men, take a hint. You aren't buying the lingerie for you! Just because a certain piece of lingerie looks good on Tyra Banks, doesn't mean that it will have the same effect on your lady, nor does it mean that she will like it! You have to take her wants and needs into consideration first. Does that sound familiar?

Thankfully, there is a solution that can be found to this problem. The internet has the largest selection of lingerie stores anywhere and you can be sure to find the right size and style for your lady. In addition, you don't have to worry about your buddies laughing and pointing at you!
