Who knew right as some kids we'd hold ourselves the way we did?   Who knew as the years went by we'd be our best surprise?   and i know just what it seems   they say we're chasing hopeless dreams   i'll chase my dreams with you   let's make our dreams come true   and i hear the critics words   our style's old and un-preferred    the only critics i care to know   are the kids that are at our shows   they seem to enjoy the efforts that we've employed   as long as it stays just how it seems   we'll continue to chase this dream   doesnt matter what they play today   i'm gonna rock my way   thinking of things we've done   the hurdles we have come over   but i know that it starts here   that points to be made clear   and i know just how they feel   hope to god they know that's real   we sweat our blood our tears   our blood and sweat and tears   the statement that we've made   we havent changed since the first day   we play just what we like   that shows thru in what we write   i know it's not the trend   but we wont fall or give in   so we'll just play    and have fun   and continue with what we've done.
