Hotel Royal Dago

Being a two star establishment, facilities and services at Royal Dago are limited. Its primary advantage is the hotels' location on Jalan Ir. H. Juanda or Jalan Dago, the heart of the city's uptown ‘Dago Heritage Residential area'.

Dago is home to the leading Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), the Padjadjaran State University and the Parahyangan Catholic University , all of which are within easy reach of the Royal Dago's doorstep. Government offices and business centres are also in close proximity making the Royal Dago very convenient for business travellers. The endless shopping possibilities at the factory outlets start right in front of the hotel at Jalan Dago.

The hotel itself is fairly basic, with outdated furnished rooms of different sizes.

Prices vary with the size of the room so have a look around before settling in because cheerfulness and state of maintenance fluctuate equally. All rooms have a/c, mini bar, and satellite television with over 30 channels including BBC, HBO and Starworld. The private bathrooms are equipped with a bath, hot water and Western toilet. Overall, the rooms are clean and basic with nothing special to offer but they serve their purpose well. The suites have a separate living room and are more spacious but then again, they are almost double in price.

At the ground floor there is a 24 hour restaurant with a school canteen like atmosphere. The gloomy restaurant advertises a good filled nasi boboko for Rp. 21,000, but maybe it's better to use the 24 hour room service available to savour this dish. A small drugstore will take care of your daily needs and telephone and fax will keep you connected to the outside world.

As with most of hotels in this mid range section in Bandung , most of the guests who stay here are on business related visits. On the opposite side of the street, a second division of the main building houses more rooms and a meeting room that can seat up to 60 people. A corporate discount is available during weekdays and weekends at 20%. Rates include breakfast buffet and government tax.
