Rejection has been a major "killer" within the industry even when the internet wasn't around and the simple fact is, most people hate to sell and they especially hate to sell to family and friends.
In this article, we want to explain the difference between attraction and interruption marketing and how a website is the missing piece to the puzzle of getting interested prospects into your sales funnel.
Interruption Marketing
The term interruption marketing describes the process of approaching prospects in a hit and miss fashion to get them to look at one's offer. It's particularly rife in the network marketing business and is one of the major reasons the industry has received a bad rap over the years.
As an example, old school network marketing methods teach approaching friends, family and anyone who is fair game to take a look at a business opportunity or to look at products. This is all well and good but the problem with this technique is most people who are approached are not in the market for an offer.
This leads to continuous rejection and for over 90 per cent of MLMers who start a business, it causes them to leave or abandon their business. It's not a very professional technique especially when there are avenues to avoid this kind of approach.
Attraction Marketing
In a nutshell, attraction marketing means the prospect seeks out the person making the offer which in turn leads to less rejection and a much happier network marketer.
Today, the internet is allowing MLMers the chance to create an attraction marketing website which they can then leverage from by providing educational and training resources to interested prospects and in turn, brand themselves as authority voices within their chosen niche.
An attraction marketing website can mean a static site, a blog or any number of Web 2 properties which work for people on a 24/7 basis. The key here is, instead of hoping someone will show interest in a business opportunity, because people go online looking for information, placed in front of the right crowd, the responding prospect will be much more receptive to listening to an offer.
In turn, this means less rejection and with the correct presell techniques to follow, more chance of signing someone up in your business.
