When planning for a wedding the ideas and dreams of the most magical day often come flooding back from our childhood memories. Especially for us ‘brides to be' – we had already chosen our wedding dress and flowers by the time we were 11. It was important for my husband and I to both make the decisions together about the wedding and boy was there a lot to think about. It was crucial that we found a place where we could have both our ceremony and reception antics. And we also wanted the wedding in Hertfordshire as it was local to us and most of our guests. After looking at several prospects for our venue we both quickly fell in love with the Hertfordshire hotel. The location was absolutely perfect and the décor was completely in line with the colour scheme I had chosen for the big day. From the day I booked the hotel the reality of my big day finally sank in and I started to send out the invites



It is imperative that even the most organised have themselves a checklist, lots of them as trust me there is always something that seems to appear from nowhere! I have had lots of friends who have made the mistake of falling head over heels with a venue and then to be completely shattered when they realise the costs. The staff at the Hertfordshire hotel made the run up to the wedding much less stressful and smooth running. I was adamant that I was going to have my wedding in Hertfordshire and I knew I had made the right decision with my choice of venue. The hotel staff was fantastic as they really wanted to make my day special. They were also patient with my endless indecisiveness and were willing to adapt to any of my requests. The relief of having some of my tasks delegated to the hotel was immense. Working full-time and trying to be the ultimate wedding planner is certainly something I would never wish for again.

On the day of the wedding I had no worry (or many worries) of anything going wrong. The hotel's facilities were immaculate and they also kindly helped with putting up all the fancy decorations. The day could have not been planned better and I don't know if they had a word with the weather man but the day was glorious for my wedding in Hertfordshire. I have been complimented by several guests for how beautiful the wedding and venue was, oh and of course the bride!
