After you've approached a girl, built some attraction, and got to the hook-point- where it's mutually understood that you and her are going to talk for a while, it's time for you to shoot the shit with the girl and build comfort and connection by demonstrating that you're a socially aware and well-adjusted individual. This comes across in the way you converse- or what we call 'vibe'- with her. This article provides five key indicators of good social vibing skills:



1) Don't crack jokes to the girl, and laugh at them before she does. Wait. You'll notice that it sometimes takes even 10-15 seconds for a joke to process. But it does. Tease her about it a little : "Oh, slow processing time.. That's OK, you're my little sister.. I didn't adopt you for your brains". Also, don't say "right" after everything. It can come across beta. Right?

2) When a girl is trying to impress you, recognize it as her qualifying herself. If you reject it, you'll come across insecure, or socially unaware. This is different from the early stages of a pick-up where you might want to deliberately misinterpret- or break rapport- with a girl in order to demonstrate higher value and build attraction. At this point you should do the reverse, and positively encourage her to impress you by rewarding her attempts.

3) Recognize when its your turn to talk, and when somebody else is being focused on. Again, after the initial period of the pick-up, where the man usually is responsible for most (up to 90%) of the spoken communication, most successful pick-ups substantially reverse this percentage in the middle to late stages of the game. A girl will develop a connection to a guy whom she has perceived to have won over ; she has invested in him, and will therefore expect later to collect the prize (your dick in her mouth).

4) If a girl tells you about a problem, just listen and change her emotion. Say "Ouch, that's sounds tough.. But hey, you're a sassy girl, and you know you're too feisty to let this stop you.. Let's check out x,y,z". Definetely don't offer advice. If she wants advice, she'll say "What should I do?" Girls want men to be empathetic to their problems without them trying to take corporate ownership of them.

5) Focus on the vibe and don't cling to topics. Clinging to topics is another sign of try-hard, or insecurity. Just let the conversation go where it wants to- much of the time the girl will do most of this work, requiring only occasional guidance and prompting from you.

The demonstration of proper social skills during the middle stages of a pick-up should, when added to the initial attraction built, provide a relatively easy transition to the various forms of closure- phone, kiss, or lay.
