I'm freezing cold hitch hiking through this dead town  Ain't no money left since they closed the shop down  I lived with a stripper and I... I just painted things  Things nobody wanted to see so I hocked Rita's rings    Sold all three  So why won't this truck go any faster?  I still need to figure out where I gotta go  Rita's in the back of my mind  I don't know what she's doin  I just know she aint doin it here    I aint seen Rita in nearly a week  Man I couldnt stay with things so bleak  where my body wants to be my mind won't go  where I'll be tonight, I don't know    I just learned to paint in school  never wanted to work for nobody else  didn't wanna work for a man who's just takin', takin', takin' give me a drink  let's drink to my health    There's nothing to see in this dead Montana town  but if there's something to paint I got plenty of brown  Rita's in the back of my mind  I don't know what she's doin  I just know she ain't doin it here    She's as dumb as me  But she got a hard hot body any man would pay to see  She can retire when she's thirty  And I'll starve my self, and I don't mind  Where my mind wants to be, my body won't go  where I'll be tonight I don't know    takin', takin', takin'
