Late night in the kitchen, serving dinner for her kitten  My sister’s doing cartwheels in her sleep  So what if ain’t hard to have a little girl’s heart?   but her little man better not break her heart apart    She and little Kevin in heaven from the start    Early morning twilight, my sister on my right side  Tight buttoned lips hands around her school bag  Se told me last night she thanked God for her man  So good to have another person in your hand    She and little Kevin hangin heavy by a strand  She and little Kevin dancing slowly with the band    Well sister, one night God came to me  And said sorry for the years of pain  But there’s someone for you, waiting for you  And you’ll never hurt again    Me and Julie, were living two years in our arms  Laying back our hands, in the dirt of Gunner’s Hill  She said "This world may not forgive us   But I know we always will."   But now Julie is livin far west from here.   She hasn’t sadi my name  or seen my face in a year    Another Friday night, my sister is dreaming of her wedding  Guess she don’t wanna learn from my painful lesson  I heard her say she ain't seen a sun like this in years  Oh but sister we have all seen that sun    She and little kevin in heaven as one  She and little together forever or till they’re done.
